I need to win (or buy) Been Doon So Long! because I gotta know how he put the fun in wine, not like the sloppy drunk fun of say Night train or Thunderbird (sorry Gallo) but more cerebral artistic fun of say Sine Qua Non, because before there was art to enjoy there was zin to to indulge in. I need to know does the party continue.

Listened to the show on the way into work this morning. Couple of items:

Going to the Randall Grahm tasting tonight; we are VERY MUCH looking forward to the opportunity. Good luck getting in Randall. Twin Cities are 30 degrees below average temperature and we were under a winter storm advisory. Should be about 60 degrees this time of year. Today 30 with 2 inches of the white stuff.

Dog name: In honor of Randall Grahm I'd recommend an AKC registered name "Rhone Ranger" with the callname being "Ranger". Doesn't Ranger just sound like a good dog name?

I think that listening this Wine biz Radio and drinking my Reislings wine with Partagas cigars is the best way to feel the real taste and joy. I would love to do this again and again whenever I will get an opportunity to do.

Dog names – what a great Friday brain teaser.

#1 – AKC name: Central Valley Zinfandel
everyday: “Raisin”

#2 – AKC name: Carneros Overseed
everyday: “Clover”

To add a few details to the dog naming give away. I typically do a AKC name/callname pairing so the you have to think a little bit. A few examples:

Melchris Rapid Transit callname Bart (if you are in the Bay Area this is funny)
Lighthouse Pacific's First callname Traz (Alcatraz was the first Pacific Lighthouse)
Woodbine Kaboom Boss callname Rico (See the Madagascar DVD and the Penguin Christmas Special)

I'm trying to avoid callnames that being with R or T. A pattern in my naming of the last 4 dogs.
